My second home, Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai has embarked on a journey of transformation in an exciting AED 70 million renovation across its 302 guest rooms and public areas – including the hotel’s impressive, atrium-style lobby and Lobby Lounge and Dunes Café.

The remodelling will be reflective of a contemporary haven of elegance that blends modern Arabia with Shangri-La’s legendary hospitality in the heart of Dubai.

Enjoying views of the shimmering city and Arabian Sea, the hotel is minutes from the international airport, Dubai’s Convention Centre and Financial Centre, as well as Downtown Dubai and Burj Khalifa.

As the renovation takes shape, the property will continue to operate and ensure the guest experience remains seamless in the landmark hotel that will feature an entirely new and invigorated visitor experience for business travellers and city explorers – reimagined by international interior designers, Hirsch Bedner Associates.

The hotel’s additional dining options make for an enticing culinary experience. With ‘hospitality from the heart’ at its core, Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai presents a unique, authentic Vietnamese fine-dining restaurant, Hoi An, showcasing the delicate flavours and colourful culinary scene of South East Asia.

In addition to the renovation, Hoi An’s popular unlimited Vietnamese tapas feast is back and better than ever with live music, weekly new flavours and an interactive hot pot experience every Friday and Saturday.

Bringing a refreshing twist to the weekend brunch concept, Hoi An’s 50 Flavours of Vietnam features an unlimited selection of Vietnamese-style tapas freshly cooked-to-order, accompanied with live Vietnamese music. Head Chef Quan’s bespoke a la carte menu features tasting-sized portions of Hoi An’s best-selling dishes.

To keep things fresh, the menu will vary from week to week ensuring a new and delightful experience on every visit. The restaurant’s signature dish, Vietnamese hot pot, allows guests to enjoy an interactive cooking experience in the centre of their table, where guests can select a variety of meats, fish and vegetables to cook in a delicious Vietnamese broth.
